The production process for welded steel pipes is simple, with high production efficiency, a wide range of specifications, and low equipment investment. However, their strength generally falls short of that of seamless steel pipes.
Based on welding technology, they can be classified into automatic welding and manual welding. Automatic welding typically uses submerged arc welding or plasma welding, while manual welding generally employs argon arc welding. According to weld seam form, they are divided into straight seam welded pipes and spiral welded pipes.
Based on their application, they can be further categorized into general-purpose welded pipes, heat exchanger tubes, condenser tubes, galvanized welded pipes, oxygen-blowing welded pipes, electrical conduit pipes, metric welded pipes, roller tubes, deep well pump pipes, automotive tubes, transformer tubes, electric welded thin-walled tubes, electric welded irregular-shaped tubes, and spiral welded pipes.
